Russ, By chance was your file from a gedcom import? There was a known problem with Legacy changing living people to deceased when importing gedcoms. That has been fixed and the fix is scheduled for the next update. The fix will not change your living people back to living. If you did get this from a gedcom import, and you still have the original gedcom, I can import it for you using the new update now and then send you the file. If so, send me an email to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> and put attn.: Michele. I will give you instructions on how to get the file to me.
Michele Technical Support <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] <http://www.legacyfamilytree.com> www.legacyfamilytree.com Hello, I have been a Legacy user for quite some time. I am currently using Legacy 8 with the latest build. I am having an issue with the living indicator. Recently for some unknown reason all of the living people in my database are set to deceased (no death information is entered for them) whereas before they were set to living. I realized I can change each person individually however my database contains over 40,000 people which is very time consuming. Does anyone know how I can fix this easier? I cannot find a setting to revert all people without death dates to living. Russ -- Russell G. Strong P. S. Check out Legacy Family Tree today!
