To add to my previous post, I have now found how to merge addresses in
the Event Address list (File Maintenance > List Cleanup...), but it does
of course merge the entries for St Peter's Church in whatever town they
may be, unless there is some extra note or element to distinguish them.

One thing which I have yet to find is how to search in event addresses,
and this is rather putting me off using them. I know how to search for
people who have an event location which includes a certain word (eg a
town or road name which is not the start of the address), but not if the
keyword is in the address. Some other programs that I've looked at have
a global search option, which looks for a word literally everywhere in
the file - does this exist in Legacy?
