Are you saying that once I link a photo to Legacy a copy will automatically be put in the Legacy Media Folder?

You don’t have to put your files there if you don’t want to but that is where the default is set up. You can have subfolders inside this folder if you like (I do). The one reason someone might want to put their pictures directly on the C: drive in a dedicated folder is if they have a deep subfolder structure. This will cut out several levels. What you don’t want is your media files scattered all over your hard drive.
