Over the years, I have worked with various versions of Legacy Family Software. I am currently on Version 8 - with the latest build (sorry I don't have it open right now to check the exact number).
I have noticed with Version 8 that I am having a problem merging/reviewing old files with my current data. Some years ago, I spent a lot of time working with media and sources for data. Many computers later, to include portable devices (thumb drives, SD Cards, external HD) I am trying to check to make sure that I have all my data, media, etc. correct. Of course, over the years I have added the date (YYYY) to the end of my data file and have placed a lot of my research time on hold for other work related and family related time. Is it still possible to merge two files - or at least compare the two files - so that I can clean up the number of 'Legacy Data Files' that I have stored on my new computer system? Is it possible to print/save a list of media errors so that I can link them under the new file structure that I am using? My dad is now 80 years old and wants to have some material published in a book format to safeguard our almost 60 years of combined work. Thanks for your help.
