Hi Carolyn, I wonder if you are missing clicking the Record Selection button on the Gedcom Export screen? There you have the choice of Entire File, Tagged Group or Focus Group.
If you want to export a tagged group, you need to tag before you go to File - Export - Gedcom. If you want to export a focus group, you can choose the focus group before going to File - Export - Gedcom OR choose it when you click the Record Selection button. Legacy remembers just the one current active Focus Group though you can Save various ones and then Load them when you need them. Pat, There are lots of options when exporting a Gedcom. Where they are confusing, stay with the default settings until you discover that doesn't produce the result you need. Can you be more specific about where you're having problems?
