NOTE. Word will convert the current PDF document to a Word file, allow one to
do the editing and then resave it using the original PDF file name.

So one will have 2 conversions that just may generate flaws within the final
file.

There is NO PDF editor program, they ALL do this conversion and then resave to
the original file name.

Lynn et al,

You can edit PDFs in recent versions of Microsoft Word.

There shouldn't be any problem adding a Word doc in media. Same way you add a
PDF.

I've had luck saving a Word doc as PDF and then attaching the PDF
document as media - document. These are a graphic format, so maybe
that's why it works. It opens again. Only thing is, a PDF doc
isn't editable (unless you have the full Adobe Acrobat program),
so if your document must be editable, then this won't be a good
    solution.

Is there a bug in this area? Or am I doing something wrong?

I have a Word document that I wanted to add to Media
(source). When I add it, I choose 'document' rather than
picture but it just sits there, does nothing at all. Images
add just fine. Is that the problem? It needs to be in an
image format? If so, where can I add a document?

I would normally just copy/paste the data into the details but
this particular docume nt includes a table (I listed a number
of individuals I located at a cemetery with five fields to
identify the individuals and their grave locations). I would
like to be able to view the document from Legacy if I need to.

Now that I'm writing this out, it seems like that document
would have to 'open' in Word when reviewing it later, which I
don't see as an issue, but maybe there is a better way to save
my Word document to make it an easier fit for Legacy? I need
to use this source for dozens of people so I'd like to do it
        'right' :-)
