I am also very interested in Gustavus, Alaska! A cousin of my grandfather (Alfred Otto “Fred” Matson) lived there; his parents were born in Finland and emigrated, his father became fisherman in Washington.
Gustavus has a wonderful site here www. gustavushistory.org/ (remove the space after www.) and if you search to the left for “Matson” you will find a lot of Fred and his wife Ruth! 2015-11-04 19:31 GMT+01:00 Chris Summers <[email protected]>: > When I add a USA based location for birth, death or marriage events I > usually list the city, county, state and USA in the location field. > However my son married his wife in a small town in Alaska near Glacier > Bay National Park that does not belong to any county.
