Good point, Rebecca. This is one reason I don't often do a media backup in Legacy, because everything that is precious to me on my computer is in a Dropbox folder. I pay an annual subscription to Dropbox to have 1TB of space - that's bigger than the hard drive on my computer, so is plenty for my needs. :-)

Of course, should the unthinkable happen and Dropbox falls off the face of the earth, we will have lost that form of backup - however should still have our own files on our own computers.

But remember, as /Ask Leo/ says: /If it’s in only one place, it’s not backed up.
/
/And, remember also the "3,2,1 approach": /at least/ 3 copies, in 2 different formats, with 1 copy kept off-site. that's also discussed at that Ask Leo link if you want to know more.

This is something for everyone to think about. I know I'm hopeless at backups (except for Legacy prompting me when I exit the program) and could do much better than I do.

(I subscribe to Leo's free weekly newsletter, as well as follow him on Facebook. He has a skill in explaining technical things in plain language.)

Hope this helps. :-)

Wendy
