If Legacy had been installed previously or if you migrated the Legacy\_AppData folder from your old computer to the new laptop your license information may well have been on the computer when you installed Legacy.

If Legacy is not Deluxe you will see the option to Unlock Deluxe on all the ribbons right beside the Exit Legacy. Click there to enter your Customer Number and Name. Click continue and you will be upgraded.

What if it never asks for the Deluxe number? I had to buy a new laptop,
therefore had to reinstall my programs. I downloaded Legacy, but it didn't
ask for my Deluxe #.

Sue,

You need to download the installation file from legacyfamilytree.com
The standard free download and the deluxe file are exactly the same
download so you just go through the process for getting the free edition.
Then when installed (or during installation) you enter your customer
number to unlock the deluxe features.
If you've lost that you'll need to contact [email protected] and
ask them if they can re-send your customer number.

If you are not using Legacy 8, there is a link to earlier versions on the
download page of the website.
