Hi All,

I use dropbox to store/share my tree without a problem.

If the internet is down you still have the latest synced version of your tree and media on all the machines connected to it.

It only requires a bit of common sense knowing what files may have changed since the last sync.

As a safety measure I backup my entire dropbox folder to my second drive on my server every now and then so in case of disaster I have a fall back.

I'm just going to do that now :-)

Greetings,
Is it advisable and/or possible to use Legacy entirely from one's cloud
storage, such asGoogle.drive or Dropbox? Or is it only for storing and
retrieving media? Thanks, Carol Boswell
It certainly isn't advisable.

Cloud storage is good got backup and transfer, but not for one's working
files. For one thing, if you don't have internet access, then you lose access
to your files.

Also, Dropbox will be dropping al support for Windows XP in a couple of
months, so if you are using that O/S you'll lose direct access to your files.

If anyone knows of an alternative to Dropbox for that purpose, I'd like to
know of it.
