I also wondered if she accidently combined the .fdb file into a folder on
the desktop. But then I thought to myself, No, nobody would have their
family file directly on the desktop.

A worst case scenario would be that she accidently combined the fdb file on
the desktop into that special folder known as the recycle bin! It that is
true, then she needs to be very careful not to empty the recycle bin but to
open (double click or right click it) it which will display everything
inside of it. Then locate the fdb file and right click on the file and
select restore.

Download an older (free) version of powerdesk. It has a much more logical
way of searching for files. She should search for something like *.fdb. I
would think that what your mom probably did was combine her family info into
another folder on the desktop.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Open Family File Lost

Asking for my mother
She was moving things around on her desktop. When done, she went to her
Legacy 7.5 and opened it. It opens to one of her picture files for her to
look at pictures. NOT her family info. We can not find her Family file?
What could she have done? If we go to "File, Open Family File" it does not
have anything? Nothing is in her Recycle Bin so it has not been deleted. I
tried to Restore but nothing happened.
HELP PLEASE
