I’m curious as to why anyone would want to download and add a program that does
exactly what is already built into Windows. For example, you mentioned that it

benefits does Powersearch offer?

Because, as with everything Microsoft, the search function does not work as
advertised. As a test I used the windows search to search for *.fdb. Despite
having six such files on my hard drive windows failed to find even one.

I use a program called "Everything." It catalogues everything on your hard
drive as you enter it. I opened that program and, as I started typing, all six files
showed up instantly, including the deleted ones in the trash folder. It is easy to
choose between a program that always works versus one that seldom, if ever, works.
