Hi Ian I use tags for recording my relationships. Having been married twice I use tag 1 for all the relations of the children of my second marriage and tag 3 for those of my first. When I open the family view for an individual I can immediately see, in the tag fields, to which side of the family an individual is connected. Anyone who is tagged in both categories is then by default a blood relative of mine.
