Hi Cathy I was hoping for something simpler. I have this family back to the early 1600’s so would be at least 60 lines of descent. So I tried the Publication Center with both ancestor & descendant reports, but that did not include this elusive child of a great-grand aunt. Since there is intermarriage between lines of siblings & spouses of siblings etc I want to make sure I have included everyone before I send off this report. The person I am corresponding with does not have uses FTM, not Legacy so I may need to resort to a gedcom.
Do you know if Legacy 8 would be able to generate a report with everyone? Thank you for trying to help Norma From: LegacyUserGroup [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Cathy Pinner Sent: Thursday, September 29, 2016 12:52 AM To: Legacy User Group Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] need help creating ahnentafel report Norma, You'll need to do descendant reports to get all the people you want. Ancestor (ahnentafel ) reports include direct ancestors and at most a list of their siblings but not the children of those siblings. You may want to look at the Multiple Lines of Descent Report so you can start from each of her earliest ancestors. There's options to not repeat duplicate lines. Or use the Publication Centre and add a combination of Ancestor and Descendant Reports, especially if you prefer the Descendant Narrative style. These are all part of Legacy 7.5 Cathy Norma Heaton wrote: Hello I have created an ahnentafel report of a great-aunt for a relative. When I checked the report before sending I saw that it did not include the child of a great-grandaunt. It also makes me wonder how man y other relations were not included. How can I include everyone from the great-aunt back including all children of siblings? I am using Legacy 7.5.0.286 Also, for what it’s worth, I am not on facebook or any other social media sites & will never join them so please keep this Legacy users group online. Norma
