Steve,
Depending on the Report options you choose and the starting person, none of the book reports would show more than your wife and her parents if you are starting from one of your ancestors for descendant reports or from your cousin or yourself for an ancestor report. Her ancestors aren't in the line.

The Multiple Line of Descent Report is just a collection of Descendant Books with the facility to not repeat duplicates. So if you look at a Pedigree Chart and start with the top set of 2x great grandparents, for example, that would come right through for as many generations as you had chosen to report, but adding another set of 2 x great grandparents to the report, that would stop when the it started overlapping with the first report.

Perhaps you are confusing Descendant/Ancestor books with the Tag option to Tag Entire Descendant or Entire Ancestor line which does go (Descendant) down and then up from everyone picked up and then down again. The books, of course, don't do that, they use the normal option and Descendant books just go down the lines from your starting person and the Ancestor books just go up the direct lines from your starting person.

Check out the Multiple Line of Descent Report. That's the most comprehensive and you can set it up not to repeat duplicate lines. However no book report
will pick up everyone in your file.

Is there are report that can show all the relatives of one person?

For example, if I want to send a report to a cousin, I want it to show my
wife, and her parents, but not any of her ancestors further back. Does the
multiple lines of descent report do that? Show spouses and parents of spouses
and spouses of children, but not all ancestors and descendants of the
ancestors of spouses?
