Thanks Dave. I was preparing to write about this same problem when your note
hit the list.

Sherry, thank toos. However, the solution you mention (deleting the legacy2.usr
file) has limited relief only.

I deleted the file three times yesterday afternoon alone. (I am still ‘cleaning
up’ after a massive GEDCOM import, currently working with the location list.)
I’ve check the graphic card drivers of this laptop. (Up to date and okay
there.) I only have the problem with Legacy 9’s main window. The other windows
(for example, the Individual’s Information window), dialogs, messages, and Help
have no problems resizing. After deleting the .usr file I can open and size the
main Legacy 9 window once only. After that first sizing, any changes to the
window acts like a ‘rubber band’, snapping back the window to the first sizing
position and not allowing changes.

This problem is really frustrating. I never had problems with Legacy 8 for the
few months use before upgrading to version 9 (the reason I migrated to Legacy).
Do you know whether this resizing of the main Legacy 9 window is a ‘known’ and
reported problem?

Denise

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Resize of Legacy Application

Hi Dave,

With Legacy closed, go to the Documents\Legacy Family Tree\_AppData\usr folder
and delete the Legacy2.usr file. It will be recreated when you reopen Legacy
and that should reset the size and placement of the windows.

Can anyone tell me how to maintain the size of my Legacy window when it opens.
I resize it all the time since the latest release, but it always shrinks
between uses. It would be much better if it would retain the window size of
it's last use.
