Still using Windows 7 pro and Legacy 8. Normally everything works great. Have had Legacy "act up" after waking up my computer, etc. Closing Legacy and re-starting it usually solves any problems. If not, re-starting the computer does. I have made some firmware updates in the past on my now old ASUS Notebook. Have Windows set to update automatically. Does it at shutdown and then completes it at the next startup. Once in a while that causes the loss of most of my "home" icons and shortcuts. Re-start usually fixes that. If not, start with F-8 and use the repair option. From my memory, hope this is understandable.

Chris,

Have you considered the problem might be with programming in the computer (driver or firmware)? As I wrote in my initial post, the first thing I did was check the drivers of both the graphics card and internal graphics section of the computer. I next check the BIOs level. After checking that, I only then moved on to the application. And that was because the problem had occurred in only a single window (main) in Legacy.

The only problem I ever had with 'Windows 10' since the release of that OS was traced to the firmware of the HP computer. It took a while, but checking HP support online I finally found the problem listed (deep into support) stating that 'some' models of the desktop I had would not 'wake up' from sleep mode. HP had a fix that 'might' correct the problem by flashing the firmware. I still run Windows 8.1 on that computer (no problems with that OS for which the computer was designed).

As a general note, this might not be an issue with Legacy but with Windows. I have the same problem with Outlook quite regularly and occasionally with other software.
