Cheryl,
If the hint is from Genealogy Bank, it shouldn't be taking you to
FamilySearch at all.
Are you clicking in the right place?
To set up which sites you want Hints from, you go to Options-Customise
8.13.
If you choose to have FamilySearch hints (which aren't from their vast
databases but from what they have hinted to the FamilySearch tree and
you only get them if you have entered the FamilySearch ID for the person
in Legacy either manually or by using the Legacy FamilySearch part of
the program) then you need to put your login details and when you follow
a FamilySearch hint, you'll also need to login in to FamilySearch in
your browser.
FamilySearch is free and you don't have to be an LDS member to have a
FamilySearch account/login. You do have to login to access the
FamilySearch tree.
But you can follow hints from the other 3 sites and see some data
without being logged in to their sites but can see more if you have a
subscription.
With very few Americans in my database, I'm not experienced with
Genealogy Bank hints but as a Legacy Tester I know some issues are still
being worked through. The number of hints can be overwhelming.
When you click on the Hints icon on someone, the screen that opens shows
which site(s) the hints are from and when you click on the relevant
section, you are taken to that site in your browser.

I have a membership in Genealogy Bank. But when I get a hint that
utilizes one of their records (and that is rare which is why this
hasn't happened before I assume) Legacy cannot take me there. It says
I must be a member of FamilySearch. I assume that means a church
member as I have an account at FamilySearch.
Am I doing something wrong or are Legacy hints from everything except
FamilySearch accessible only to church members?
