Hi Henk,

You might want to take a look at John Cardinal's GedSite. I have been using his
companion product Second Site for The Master Genealogist for many years and
love it.

GedSite uses a GEDCOM file to produce a very nice website complete with
exhibits, indexes, charts, etc. You can also include custom pages without
needing to know HTML. Support is done via a very active mailing list with
responses sometimes almost immediate.

It supports GEDCOM v5.5+ files from any genealogy program, but has special
handling for GEDCOM files written by Family Historian, Family Tree Maker,
Legacy, and RootsMagic. You can also use GedSite to produce a site on a CD, DVD
or thumb drive.

John's Family History Hosting provide hosting if needed. See
http://www.gedsite.com/en/index.htm for more information along with links to
view sites created using GedSite. Cost is $25 USD.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Family tree on the Internet

Dear Legacy Users,

My name is Henk Bastiaanse and I live in Australia. I have been using various
genealogy software programs over the past 11 years and am using Legacy for
about 2 years. I am extremely happy with Legacy (9.0). However, the time has
come to share all collected information with extended family and post the
family tree - containing over 20,000 people and over a thousand pictures and
person- and location information - on the Internet.

What would be your suggestion how to do this and to which site to post it to? I
would really like to keep and share all collected information, including the
information in "Stories" etc.

Thanking you in advance for any feedback,

Kind Regards,
Henk Bastiaanse.
