If you are going to use two computers you need some system to keep the database in sync. That isn't automatic even if you have your database in the cloud eg in Dropbox UNLESS a) you only have it open on one computer at a time and b) you allow enough time for it to upload from one computer and download to the other. How long that time is depends on your internet speed for a start.
