Cathy, it is Tools > relationship from the ribbon. There is no error number. I have read to end of the online article http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-00344 and I decided that one of 2 suggestions there may help, without doing harm – Delete the Rc3 file Set the relationship again These are #1, #2 at the end of that article – possibly what you are suggesting?

You are further down. All the same it might be worth resetting Relationships. with the Set Relationships tool. You have to reset if you have merged or deleted anyone or changed links. You also have to reset periodically when adding new people. The automatic assigning of relationships only goes so far. Did the error message have a number? Cathy Ian Thomas wrote: Has anyone seen this error? I received this error when using Relationship Tool, so immediately backed up and ran Check/Repair; but the same popup error occurs with these same 2 persons. Changing one person, from a son to his father, calculates the relationship. The father had 2 marriages. If I change the target to the half-brot her, that relationship calculates OK. If I change to other pairs, those relationship calculations work OK (whether there is a relationship, or not). I will check Legacy online errors. This is baffling.
