Cathy The RIN persist in the child section (grid) below the marriage line – above it, RIN doesn’t appear. And the first thing I did was to set the options, then exit Legacy. Start it again, change to another “family”, observe, exit, restart. I still have RIN in the Child section – only 7 children. I am not confusing child # with RIN.

However, whether this is an error in Legacy - or I haven’t discovered the settings to change - I have done what I need to even though square bracketed display is superfluous. Or have you added a column for the RIN? Or are you confusing the Child number with the RIN? If it isn't disappearing, try changing screen and back to force the grid to redraw. Seems a lot of messing around if you are also changing font sizes and you can't have many children in the family. Why not use the Family Group report? Cathy
