I think I've found the problem.
When you go to Options > Customise 8.2 to turn off RINs, uncheck the RIN
box AND uncheck On Family View, Pedigree ...
If you just uncheck the RIN box they still show in the Grid after the names
Just unchecking RIN removes them from elsewhere on the Family View.
Please confirm whether that fixes it and then I'll see if it's in the
Bug tracker and if not, enter it.

The RIN persist in the child section (grid) below the marriage line –
above it, RIN doesn’t appear. And the first thing I did was to set the
options, then exit Legacy. Start it again, change to another “family”,
observe, exit, restart. I still have RIN in the Child section – only 7
children. I am not confusing child # with RIN.
The Family Group is OK, sort of, if I turn off all the Notes and
Events. But I want 3 generations to show.
However, whether this is an error in Legacy - or I haven’t discovered
the settings to change - I have done what I need to even though square
bracketed display is superfluous.

and the parents also removes it from the children in the Child
scrolling grid. Or have you added a column for the RIN? Or are you
confusing the Child number with the RIN?
If it isn't disappearing, try changing screen and back to force the
grid to redraw.
Seems a lot of messing around if you are also changing font sizes and
you can't have many children in the family.
Why not use the Family Group report?

I would like advice on how to do this, please.
In order to get a simple overview of a family via a screen capture, I
am tweaking the usual screen display
But I can’t find the setting to _turn off_ the display of the RIN
numbers in the Children list (in grid view) below the usual Family
view. I have turned off the RIN display for husband/wife, but the
children still have it showing.
I guess I should have saved my default settings before changing the
font size and stretch min/max, and the husband/wife RIN.
