Donna,

Everyone has their own way of entering and citing sources. Here is the
way I do it. This allows me to keep, down, the number of times, that
the Source will show up on reports, yet it gives complete information
for each event/fact for each person. Notice I said "keep down", not
"eliminate".

Let's take a source for a marriage as the example. For marriage records
that I obtain, I name my marriage sources such as:
                Marriage Records, Hall Co., GA
                Marriage Records, Forsyth Co., GA

Then as I enter my citations, I select the source for the place the
individuals married. I do this for everyone who married in Hall Co., or
Forsyth Co., GA. For me, that is quiet a large number for both
counties.

BUT, the detail for each one is DIFFERENT. For the individual marriage
record which I am citing, I enter the 'Book' and 'Page' numbers the
document no. and then the name of the individuals.

This causes the Source to show up each and every time there is a
marriage on the report because each one IS different.

BUT - If I do not KNOW any of the "details" for the source, then I just
enter The source ie. "Marriage Records, Hall Co., GA" .

This causes the Source to show up only once on the reports and
everyone's marriage that I cited this way, will be referred back the
that same Source.

For a "Census" source, every one in the household should refer back to
the SAME "Census" source, because the details are the same for all in
the same household.

I hope this helps you to figure out how the Sources are put in the
Reports.
