I have tried to duplicate your problem without success. For me Legacy is working
exactly like you would like it to work. If I assign the same source to 20
different fields, when printing a FGS, all those fields have the same annotation
number and the source is only printed once at the end of the report. Unless, of
course, if I have different details or different detail text for the same
source.
The fact that nobody else seems to have the same problem that you have might
suggest that you don't enter your sources or use the source feature in the
proper manner.
If you would like I could have a "closer" look at what might be causing your
problem. Just send me a copy of a FGS text file or better yet a small "Family
File" excerpted from your file.
