This is the point that is really border line. To me a Marriage Certificate
is a type of record. If each individual Marriage Certificate would be listed
for all individuals then there would be 1000+ for my database. Then all the
individual birth certificates and death certificates !

To my mind, the "Marriage Certificate" type is a Master source, with the
details differing on each one.
Rather like IGI being the master source, and the repository, film number,
page etc are the source details with a possible source text.

Problem is, like I said, a Marriage Certificate can have several pieces of
information, such as occupation, parents names, etc. but Legacy doesn't
allow you to use the same source detail for more than one event, although
the database format would allow this. (I had a look).

The same also goes for the Census Records. There is information for more
than one person on a record.
There would then be another 5,000 or so Census records to add as Master
sources (every 10 years). Better to say Source 1881 British Census, then in
the detail the actual text / and / or copy of the return.

One or two people have been mentioning problems regarding the digest form. I
have individual messages so am not sure what problems are occuring.
