I just tried a new file opened in Word (Office 2000) and had the same
results as before with notes -- "GeneralNotes:Silversmith..." Interestingly,
the 'Source' title was gone, as was the following 'Source Citations' and
'Create an Index Here'. If opened in WordPerfect, the same file has all
three items. Seems like Legacy is producing RTF code that is being read, or
more accurately interpreted, differently by each program.

Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] RTF Report, no "Sources" heading

Wm, must be WordPerfect;-> I had another, closer look at the .rtf report I'd
generated in Word, the General Notes heading is fine eg: "General
Notes:Living at Northway near Tewkesbury, GLS in 1827"
HOWEVER, when I opened the same report in WordPad, the "Sources" heading had
disappeared (along with the other page headings), a similar thing happened
when I used an ancient version of MSWorks to open the file. The General
Notes line was OK though.
I guess the appearance of documents in Rich Text Format is dependant on the
programme they are opened in.
