Sounds good to me, Dave. Would this take care of the "unknown spouse" when
there is no spouse in a single parent situation?

| The "invisible" feature is just an, as yet, unimplemented extension of the
| Private feature. You can currently mark a person as Private and the
| information for Private individuals is suppressed on reports and is
replaced
| with "Private." Someone suggested that Private individuals not be
mentioned
| at all. That is when I came up with the "invisible" extension and we have
| been talking about the effects and ramifications of such an option. The
big
| question is what to do on a descendant-type report when one of the
| descendants is marked as Private/Invisible. If we don't include anything
| about the person on the report, do we also then not include anything about
| their descendants? Or do we skip a generation...for example, someone's
child
| followed by their great-grandchildren (if a grandchild is invisible)?
|
| I suspect that the most likely candidates for "invisibility" are not
direct
| relatives but rather rouge spouses or "friends" that the family would
rather
| forget about. These types of individuals could be left out of a report
and
| not affect the flow of the descendancy even if they had children. It is
| when the direct-line descendant is marked as invisible that we have a
| decision to make.
|
| My current proposal is that any non-direct-line individuals that are
marked
| as invisible be ignored in the report (no mention at all). Any invisible
| direct-line individuals would be included and shown as "Private" but no
| other information would be given.
|
| Reaction?
|
| Thanks,
