I have to agree with Brenda that your original explanation was very
confusing.

Brenda is right in saying that you shouldn't have to be merging individuals
all the time. (Unless as she says there is a bug that we are not aware of.)

If you give us your "explanation" again in more detail, step-by-step, I
think
we might be able to grasp what you are doing and be able to help.
