Thank you Louise. That's what I did in the first place, but I repeated it
following your instructions. I'm afraid it didn't work. It didn't select any
individuals at all.

I tested your problem and got the results you are looking for by going to
Search and choosing:
- Individual
- Cause of Death
- Not Equal To
and the under "What to look for", I highlighted the entire field to make
sure nothing was there, and I put 'one' space. I then 'ticked' "Clear List
before this search", then clicked on "Create List".
