The way I use the Research Notes field is to indicate the uncertainties in 
my research on that "item" so far, and also to discuss any inconsistencies. 
I try to use the Source Citations meticulously to identify each source and 
its Surety, and the ToDo's to identify next (and past) steps in my research 
trail.  I often use overall text in the Research Notes field to discuss the 
pros and cons of each possibility and why I have selected one over another. 
I can currently do this for Individuals, but not for Marriages.  So a 
similar facility for marriages would be useful when we are discussing either 
the family as a whole, (which I classify by MRIN) or for details of the 
marriage itself.  The advantage of having a separate type of Notes field is 
that it can be excluded or included on reports, depending on their purpose. 
So, I'd like to see this added to Legacy.

Some of these are events I have added, and others come with Legacy 
install.

Alt Marriage Info
Annulment
Bondsman (I added this so I could see all of the marriages that a specific 
person put up the bond for)
Celebration (I use this for things like 50th Anniversary party or news 
article, etc)
Census
Children  (I added this so I would have one place to attach photos of 
children together, or to list the names of children when I don't really 
want to add all of these as individuals - might be unrelated to me, or 
don't have time to add them when I find them, or not sure about source)
Divorce
Divorce Filing
Divorce Decree
Marriage Announcement (I added this one and type the newspaper article 
verbatim in the notes field of this event, and if a photo is included, I 
would scan and attach as a picture)
Marriage Banns
Marriage Bond (I put the wording of the bond - witness, bondsman, dates, 
etc.)
Marriage Contract
Marriage Notice (I use this to type the wording from the invitation, and 
attach a scanned copy)
Marriage Settlement
Minister (I added this so I could get a list of marriages this person 
performed)
Residence
Travel
