Please don't change the defaults! Surely the prime purpose of making web
pages is to put on a web site (when index.htm is one of the default pages
that open). If you want a "special" use of the feature then you need to do a
little work to make it usable. Either making the CD autostart as already
suggested, or writing your own "Home Page" to introduce the CD where you can
click to enter the tree. This method is enabled in Legacy web page creation
and a link to "Home" can be added at the bottom of every page.

Then when you send out a new CD you can refer, on the home page, to changes
since the last one etc.
