No need to feel foolish! I didn't know that any of the hot spots beeped! I usually don't have my speakers turned on, so I've never heard a beep! Just tried it now - it seems to beep when you change from "preferred spouse" to non-preferred spouse, but not vice versa. No, that's not right either, because I just checked my gt. grandmother who married four times, and the beep only happens for one husband, and he's not the preferred one! Maybe someone can enlighten us.
