Laurence, Very well spoken. Perhaps Kristian will come to realize that leaving the Legacy list for something that Legacy has no control over is not the most rational response. And, as you mentioned, perhaps he has reason to not be totally rational at the moment.
In any event, Kristian certainly owes the list no apology for anything other than a non-Legacy post. Nothing more. He is entitled to his view of world events to the exact same extent that the rest of us are. And his view of the U.S., as demonstrated by our government, is certainly not without merit. Don't forget that it took our president three whole days to even acknowledge that a huge worldwide tragedy had taken place, and even that probably would not have happened without the very vocal criticism of people like Kristian, who managed to wake him from his perpetual vacation. I just hope that Kristian (and others) do not judge all the people of the U.S. by the actions of our government. Be compasionate we don't know. We on the list do not care what you pay in tax or how much you have donated all most of us care about is that we are all doing what we can, be that giving money, our time, expertise, prayers or our thoughts. We can't turn back time but we can in our own way do what we can to help. I suspect Kristian will return to the list when ready. Now let us return the list to it's proper users and stop sniping, we who are studying the past should learn from it and not make the same mistakes that have gone before. To anyone who has been effected by this catastrophe I send my most heartfelt thoughts. wishes -- Best regards, Laurence E Stephenson mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] The Rise of the Stephenson Family in Australia http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/steppayne/ Researching:- Butcher, Fortune, Garlick, Mee, Payne, Stephenson, Ritchie, Wittick (Wrightwick, Whitwick, Whittick) Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
