I appreciate all the responses - but, unfortunately, none correct the
problem.

Additional explanation:
1. I didn't notice the switch to "Unspecified" until long after it happened.
Although I back up and GED to both HD and Stick or Flash Memory I don't have
the saves from whenever it happened. Also I have made a significant number
of data
entries since that time.
2. My first explanation was insufficient. "Unspecified" was not added as a
new Source; it was added as an event which appears on the Name Listing (in
the screen to the right of the names) just above Name. The new "event" has
the source that the Name originally had.
3. Currently I am looking at each record as I proceed through the Name List;
I delete the source for Unspecified and add the proper source for Name - I
am as far as "Cooper".
4. "Unspecified" does not appear on the Master List of Event Definitions or
the "event" could be deleted solving half the problem. Of course it would
not appear on the Master Source List because it is an "event".

Recent Action:
I entered an event for me - Unspecified - with a fictitious location and
source. I tried to delete the event but the only record for that event was
mine so the action was unsuccessful (except for my entry).

Conclusion:
1. It appears to me that Legacy has not picked up the info in the program -
only the display with the name list. Thus no global action can be initiated.
I have a GWTW attitude - Oh well, I needed to look at the events and sources
for each person anyhow to find any inconsistencies which should be
corrected.
2. As my son says I never have the problems other people have - mine are
unique.
3. Speaking of attitude - how many people can really stump the experts at
Millennia? In case you're wondering, Sherry, I'm laughing at me. It takes
years of practice to get this dumb. 8-)
