As an example, in order to add occupation details from a UK census record to an existing ancestor:
1) Click on ancestor's record to open it for editing
2) Click on Add an event
3) Enter the details
4) Click on the sources icon - the Assigned Sources dialogue opens with the topic preselected, which is helpful
5) Click on Cite a Master Source
6) Master Sources opens with last-used one preselected, which again is helpful
(if not the desired source, click on the correct one)
7) Click to select the chosen source and the Detail screen opens
8) Type or paste the census page details in the box
9) Click on Save for the detail
10) Click to Close the Assigned Sources dialogue
11) Click to Save the event record
12) Click to save the ancestor's record
Repeat ad infinitum for each entry.
I know there may be more efficient ways to do, and am open to suggestions, but what I would like to suggest is an additional button to take me from the details at step 8 right back to the main screen, automatically closing and saving as it went.
To be honest, what I would really like is a complete UI rework, switching away from modal dialogues in favour of multiple entry panes that stay in step. But that's probably too much too ask for 8-D
