Paula ...

Yes ... exactly ... you got it ... with one line (row) for each of birth, marriage, death of each person ... you end up with a report which lists these events as they happened in the family (or whatever group is selected) in the order they happened ... year by year, month by month, day by day ... a readable timeline (not a chart) ... I can see things such as my greatuncle's death occurring two days before my cousin was born ... without flipping from screen to screen or page to page ... it gives a much different picture than any other report or screen.

(I've also been diddling with the .csv files produced by Legacy since they were mentioned... and dates are a horror in them ... EST and BEF and CIR and ABT and 1931/1932 don't end up in a useable form ... not to mention having to combine three files ... one for the birth dates, one for the marriage dates, and one for the death dates).

Bob, Let me ask a clarifying question... Do you want a separate line for
each person/date combination? So that ONE PERSON who was born, married
(just once) and died will have THREE LINES (rows) on your report?

The idea is to get this:

                 01/01/01 Person A Birth Location A

                 05/05/05 Person B Birth Location B

                 01/10/10 Person C Marr Location C

                 10/10/20 Person A Marr Location C

                 10/10/30 Person B Death Location C
