At one point it has a list of the names on the left side of a pop-up window and wants to know which names you want to add to your Legacy file. Click the button that says all of them and they will be downloaded to the new Legacy file. I hope this helps.

Try it again using another gedcom - best of luck Brendan -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Marion & John Hornby Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2005 3:11 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [LegacyUG] gedcoms Hi I have been using Generations 8 on a Windows 98se computer with everything working well. I now have a new computer with windowsXP so I thought it would be a good idea to change genealogy software. I have saved a gedcom, downloaded the free trial of Legacy and imported the gedcom. All straightforward (I thought!) however, the list of names is there, but it appears I now have to manually put each person into the right family!! Waht am I doing wrong? I have far too many names to to a manual entry.
