I made the move from FTM to Generations years ago via gedcom.  No big
problems.  Some little fixups.
Then about 20 months ago I made the switch from Generations to Legacy 4.
Been using Legacy ever since.  Did have one problem with baptisims but
other than that no big problems.
So here's something to try.  Reinstall Generations on your new 'puter and
see if you can re-import the gedcom into Generations.  If you still have
Generations running someplace look over its export options to see if you
missed something obvious.  You might also want to try re-exporting it.

If you'd like you can send me your gedcom and I'll try importing it into
various things, including Legacy 5.0 deluxe and look it over visually to
see if I can spot something.
