Peggy, I think you want to set the Marriage Status to "Unmarried" - at least as a start, then see what the wording is on the particular report you are using. Some of the other suggestions on the list may then be helpful to you. In Family View, double-click on marriage 'bar' below husband and wife to get Marriage Information screen. I have a situation where the father and mother are known but unmarried. Is there a place to indicate that they are unmarried? I changed the child's surname to "unknown" because I only have the given name. I have explained the situation in the notes, but it seems in the family report the word "husband" is automatically used. Can that be changed to "significant other?" or something equivalent?
