Maybe so, but they are listed in the cemetery office with their married last
name here in the states.  So - what good is that???  The maiden name is
usually their "middle" name.  This is of no help when I have a printout of
names to visit in the cemetery and want to send this list in advance to the
cemetery office for them to send me back information and a map of the
person.  I have included last spouse on the reports, but, for the most part,
they in the cemetery office can't look that for to see the spouses last name
- even if I write it on the list next to the person I need the information
on.

Most headstones that I have seen do in fact have the ladies maiden name
carved on the stone.
