Matt, Adopted children could also be born after the marriage of the couple. The mother could have been pregnant by another man at the time of the marriage and then when the child was born, the husband adopted the child.

It seems even though I have some children marked as "Father: Adopted Mother: Natural" The Check for "Potential Problems" brings up that these children were born before the marriage of the parents. I realize that I can exclude these from that problem, but shouldn't the program recognize that the children were adopted and should be automatically excluded? Isn't that why the Child Satatus Box is present? I have a large file with many modern mixed families, so excluding so many of these is a large task.
