June,
I found that creating a Gmail account for Legacy mails solved all the
problems of topics I was not interested in - which were clogging my
routine mailbox with genealogy mails.
As has been said on this mailing list before, the tremendous advantage
of Gmail is that it automatically sorts your mail by topic heading, so
quickly running your eye down the list allows you to select any topics
of interest, and to ignore the dozens of others.
