Sherry,
Thanks. I saved a picture in Paint Shop Pro as a .tif, but this time
looked
at options before I saved the picture. Sure enough, LZW was selected.
I
unselected the box and chose uncompressed, as you directed and ,
legacy
viewed the picture just fine.

If the TIF pictures have LZW compression, Legacy's not recognizing
them.
You have to change them to uncompressed TIF or a different format.
The ones
you aren't seeing probably have the compression.
Personally, I have my archived pictures as TIF or high res jpg (my
digital
camera doesn't shoot in RAW or TIF) and then create jpgs for attaching
in my
file with a file size of around 150 KB. Legacy's happier with the
smaller
file size, creating reports needs less resources, the file size of
reports
with embedded pictures will be smaller, and if you decide to create
web
pages you'll need less server space.
Thanks for using Legacy.

I'm having a similar problem but it's not consistent......... some of
the
scans using Paint Shop Pro 8 and saving as tif are not being seen in
Legacy
but all scans using Microsoft Digital Image 2006 and saved as tif can
be
seen in Legacy?
So I'm saving first as tif to keep all the picture info then re-saving
as
jpeg to avoid Legacy not being able to pick it up.......but would be
interested to find out why this is so.
