digiKam project already use the last alpha package with the Windows, MacOS,
and Linux AppImage bundle.

The Windows version crash at startup as a memory corruption appear while
database is loaded. Sound like the crash must be fixed in git/master with
an out of index with array. I recommend to use static analyzer to detect
this kind of glitch in source code : clang build-scan or cppcheck are
enough.

Note the Linux and MacOS version do not crash, but i suspect that Unix
system is more robust against this king of memory use. In all cases, i
recompile all bundles currently with code from git/master and i will give
feedback if problem re-appears again.

Note : Lensfun is very important for DK. I hope to see a stable version
release before end of this year.

My best
