Surely, many bugs remain, but I am reasonably certain that the position and node classes can be made to work. I have done essentially nothing with the sax read code. Actually, not much will have to be done: after all, the file format hasn't changed (yet). However, the code that creates the initial outline from the .leo file will likely have to be rewritten. It's not likely to be a big deal: the original code is straightforward, and the new code is likely to be even simpler. So it looks like Leo will be able to read .leo files with the unified nodes code in a few days.
