Your suggestion did not work but it may be do to another issue I'm
having. I have a @shortcuts node the contains all of the Leo commands
set equal to "None" followed by a @shortcuts node containing the vi
key bindings. However, pressing the period key issues a "no text
selected" entry in the Log pane. This suggests that the key is still
mapped to the auto-complete command. I also noticed that the 'v' key
also remains bound to the set-extend-mode command. Why isn't the
"auto-complete = None" and the "set-extend-mode = None" command
unmapping the period and 'v' keys?
