As mentioned before, this only happens when editing the headline via
double-clicking.

The fix is now on the qt-plugin branch at rev 1488.  All unit tests
pass on XP with and without the qt plugin enabled.  Haven't run unit
tests on Ubuntu yet, but all seems well there also.
