Not proven at all. My impatience to kill the wx plugin interfered with my
judgment.

I plan to add some more tracing to the baseNativeTreeWidget class to help me
see what is happening.  Perhaps this will suggest a quick fix, but if it
doesn't I can simply move on.  There is no need to make unfounded
accusations that wx is defective.

In the morning it is clear what to do.  I shall indeed kill the wx plugin,
for all the reasons Ville gives.  The wx guis should reside in the
leo\plugins\abandoned folder.
