The problem is not esoteric: it is not due to data being out-of-synch. It's a simple screw up, likely a few days old. I would have thought that a unit test would have caught such an horrendous problem, but apparently not. Many thanks for your timely bug report: it clearly has save me a lot of embarrassment. I'll delay rc1 until at least two days after the bug has apparently been stamped out.
